Selectable Multibeam Antennas

The SelectaBeam SC-3010 is a high-performance cylindrical selectable multi-beam antenna operating over the frequency range 4.2-5.4GHz. With high gain and a robust construction, the SelectaBeam SC-3010 provides very high-speed switching between 32 symmetrical beams for coverage across 360° in azimuth. An optional omnidirectional mode is also available to support broadcast modes for node discovery and registration scenarios. Passive Design

The SelectaBeam SC-3010 is a passive antenna design that integrates directly with a wide range of radios. Supporting both TDD and FDD operation, the SelectaBeam SC-3010 provides 16dBi of peak gain with 1.5dB inter-beam crossovers.

With low sidelobes, the SelectaBeam SC-3010 suppresses interference, improves signal-to-interference ratios and provides enhanced protection against eavesdropping and jamming.

Applications

The SelectaBeam SC-3010 is ideally suited to applications in which flexible coverage across a 360° sector is required from a single radio. Example applications include:

• Fixed and nomadic mesh network nodes (gateways, relays and access points)
• Point-to-multipoint military communications
• Public safety communications (e.g. major incident centres)
