Why Choose Us?

Plasma Antennas leads the world in developing low cost plas76 antennas across the band 1 GHz to 300 GHz. The Company has in-house silicon prototyping facilities.

Plasma devices are fully steerable and are a low cost replacement for both mechanically steered antennas, which have high maintenance costs and for phased arrays, which have very high unit costs. For example, an electronically steerable phased array antenna that would have cost £10,000++ using conventional technology might be produced for less than £100 using the plas76 technology, with the further advantages of lower weight, smaller size, greater robustness and improved reliability.

A large number of designs have been simulated in terms of their electromagnetic and plas76 performance. One demonstrator has been completed and tested and a second is currently being constructed. Currently, the demonstrators are designed to operate at 5.8GHz and 30GHz and have applications in WLAN (wireless local area networks) and mesh networks respectively. Cost of manufacture is considered carefully when proceeding with R&D ideas. Thus far, the Company has filed six patents and has drafted a seventh. Further patents will be sought to cover future innovations.
